What Will Your Liver Do?

Your liver is a powerhouse of metabolic functions. When it is healthy it will detoxify most of the harmful and poisonous substances that are introduced into or created in the body. Pesticides, insecticides, additives, chemicals, drugs, 'spent' hormones, alcohol and heavy metals are among the hundreds of substances it has to deal with every day, so that you may carry on. Your liver stores several minerals and vitamins, synthesizes enzymes and co-enzymes and produces cholesterol. The list of functions it performs is very long.

The usual Western diet seriously impairs the liver's ability to perform normally. Over time it becomes toxic, getting filled with fatty deposits and scar tissue. If your liver is toxic, so is your body.

If it is overrun by a chemical load that poisons your blood, ruins your memory, destroys your digestive system and drags down the health of every single cell in your body, your liver starts to clog up with environmental toxins, undigested fats, gallstones and other waste.

By age 50, you're probably getting only 25% of the bile you used to as a youngster to break down fats in the body. If your liver gets filled with junk it begins to re-circulate the toxins back into your organs... because there is no place else for them to go! That is the beginning of health problems:

* Headaches
* Fatigue
* High cholesterol
* Joint aches
* Blood pressure problems
* Blood sugar problems
* Sexual problems
* Allergies
* Weight gain
* Forgetfulness
* Skin rashes
* Immune problems
* Poor digestion

Did you consider that a sluggish liver could be the root cause of all these health problems? This issue is largely ignored by conventional doctors and the drug companies.

To restore the health of your challenged liver you need to tackle it from many directions and on multiple levels—something many other supplements (and conventional solutions for that matter) completely fail to do.

Liver is quite amazing: it can regenerate itself if the correct nutrients are supplied, even from cirrhosis. [*Levy, J.S., et al , South. Med. J. 1951.]

Doing a basic cleanse of lemon juice and extra virgin olive or flax oil that is made up by blending six tablespoons of fresh lemon juice (instead of lemons you can use pineapple or grapefruit juice) together with three tablespoons of pure virgin olive oil and a pinch of garlic, fresh ginger & cayenne pepper. Take this first thing in morning half an hour before food. Continue for ten days. Later you can do this cleanse for two or three consecutive days, three or four times per year.

We cannot over emphasize the importance of correct nutrition, to support liver function.
